| A native of Romania, Carmen makes her home in Chicago, Illinois. Her true passion rests in the fine art of painting. When her artistic spirit is touched upon a subject or image, she seemingly becomes one with the art piece; she draws strength not only from its shape and shadow, but from the purity of the creation itself. Carmen is self taught and believes that the artistic soul of creation must be discovered on ones own path - it is a life itself that breathes inside each one of us. Only a calm soul listening to the true voice of the child deep within our hearts can discover our true meaning on this planet. For Carmen, this voice speaks with the passion of art. |

My style varies, but is mostly realistic. Experimenting with different media, techniques, and genres gives me great
joy. My goal as an artist is to create work that depicts the incredible natural beauty that I observe in the world.
Presently my focus is drawn more to architectural themes. Not only am I fascinated by its graceful lines and
shapes but also the history. I try to convey its spirit or story into my paintings. I paint mostly from photos taken on
my travels yet am often inspired by angels and images that emerge while meditating. The beauty of my home
country Romania, its culture and the simplicity of its people is another great source of inspiration. In my paintings I
capture profound emotions and like to express enough of my perceptions, giving the viewer the chance to continue
in his mind and emotions the story I have already begun.
I have made only small Editions of 250 of selected images. I print only on acid free Knightkote Matte Textures
papers, which not only accurately reproduce the intense, pure colors of the original paintings, but offer a unique
finish that gives added dimensions to printed images. Each of my prints are numbered, signed, and come with a
certificate of authenticity.
